Who adorned time with grace
BY LI MENG
Women are like flowers, so delicate and fair,
Their bloom like a dream, with fragrance in the air.
Men love flowers, cherish them with care,
Their whispers like songs, painting visions rare.
With light or heavy makeup, they charm the sight,
Like a tender poem, a lover's delight.
To practice flowers for me, is like scales before a play,
When creativity falters, they show me the way.
Each flower has its unique essence and lore,
Named or unnamed, they tell tales of yore.
Buddha says: One flower, one world, one leaf, one Bodhi,
Seeing them bloom moves me profoundly.
In this world, the gentlest beauty I see,
Is flowers in their prime, touching me.
As they fall in the sunset, I grieve their flight,
For their brief bloom cannot be held tight.
